The Intention of this course is to dive safely with Nitrox (EANx 21-99%) as inhaled gas by means of professional education and equipment so that the diver is able to tap the full potential of the advantages of Nitrox with regard to normal compressed Air. Further topics in the program are deco dives with nitrox and gas change UW. This course exceeds in sportdiving area what is known as “recreational diving”.
What will you learn?
The objective of Advanced Nitrox Diver Course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing EAN-21 through 100 percent oxygen for dives requiring staged decompression. During this course, you’ll use Nitrox with the percentage of oxygen from 21 % to 100 %, at sea depth of not more than 40 meters. The goal of this course is the instruction of divers on advantages, dangers and correct practices for using of Nitrox with the percentage of oxygen from 21 % to 100 % during dives that do require decompression.
Advanced Nitrox Diver Course considers physical phenomena of dives with mixtures enriched with oxygen, the pressure concept, physiological aspects of the influence of gases that are part of a breathing mixture on a human body. Special attention is drawn to the technology of dive planning, correct calculation of the optimal mixture, calculation of dive limits on oxygen and nitrogen with the use of tables and computer programs. Specificity of equipment preparation for dives with alternative mixtures, procedures of gas mixture analysis is presented in the course as well.
The course includes 4 dives in the open sea during which the skills of correct dives within previously planned limits will be trained.
- As a rule, this course is combined with Decompression Procedure course.
Special equipment for Advanced Nitrox Diver Course
- 1 extra oxygen clean stage regulator.
