The city is located in the northern part of Tenerife where the temperature is usually a few degrees lower than on the south cost. The main sights of Puerto de la Cruz include a salt water pool complex Lago Martinez, designed by the famous architect César Manrique, and also a square in the old town of Plaza del Charco.
