Technical Diving in Tenerife is just starting it’s development and doesn’t stop surprising us with its diversity. It will be our pleasure to show you the spectacular deep sea arches, canyons, grottoes and, of course black corals.
The dives are made from RIB type boat. The Diving Centre if fully equipped with all the necessary equipment for deep technical dives: doubles, stages, Helium, Oxygen, scooters.
Dive sites for technical diving in Tenerife
• Punta Rasca
The canyon lies at a depth of 25 to 30 meters, plunge into the deep by the wall, which ends at 50 meters depth and then turns into a picturesque slope up to 70 meters depth and deeper. The whole dive is made around caverns and grottoes, which are covered with black corals. Here, at any depth you may see an angel shark or rays.
• Ali-Baba Cave
Lava has been freezing into amazing patterns and the sea working on the landscape forming spectacular arches and grottoes for thousands of years. The biggest grotto which local people call Ali Baba’s cave lies at 45 meters depth. You may also see black coral here, at a depth of 30-50 meters.
• El Caletὀn
Flowingdownthestairsand freezing lava formed a multilevel landscape: 15, 25, 50 and more meters of basalt rocks, they look like a construction site abandoned by the builders at the stage of driving piles. You may often see shoals of rays and roncador fish.
• Veril Del Caballo
Threecanyonslocatedinashapeofafan starting from 20 meters depth and gradually moving towards the bottom of a lava formation up to 70 meters depth. Theslopesaregenerously decorated with black corals, and morays and rays are hiding in tiny grottoes.
• Veril Del Faro
A corner dive site of the southwest lava massif starts at 20 meters depth near the shore and gradually stretches up to a depth of 50 meters. This area is decorated with multiple arches, grottoes and wells. Decompression safety stops usually take place near the shore where curious octopi and cuttlefish dwell.
• Roncadores Del Faro
A great grotto is discovered at depths of 45-50 meters, covered with black corals.After that the slope is gradually going away into the cleft to 2,5 kilometers. Arocky landscape is decorated with coloured actinia of the twilight zone.
• Cita del Mar
A big fishing trawler lies at a depth of 48meters. One of the versions says that it sunk when returning from El Hierro and was caught by a bad storm. The boat was moving toward the lighthouse and hit one of the rocky formations. And because it was heavily overloaded with tuna it failed to stay afloat. There are often strong currents here.
