What will you learn?
Necessity to dive from a boat is often a challenge for divers. Whether it is a private yacht or one of numerous charter boats, many divers do not know special techniques and etiquette for diving from the boat. Scuba diving from boats is an everyday occurrence. Whether on a private vessel or one of the many charter dive boats available worldwide, divers are frequently not aware of the special procedures and etiquette used when boat diving. This course is designed to introduce divers to different types of boat diving and the skills needed to plan and conduct a boat dive with maximum safety.
During the course, its participants will learn about different types of boats and their features, types of underwater navigation, rules of safe stay on a board, rules of embarkation and debarkation from a vessel, rules of dives and exit from water, and etiquette for dives from the boat. The course includes two dives in open water. The both dives will be carried out form the boat.
This specialty is developed to familiarize divers with different kinds of dives from the boat and with necessary procedures and knowledge for safe performance of this kind of dives.
Essential prerequisites for participants
- Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certificate
- Minimal age - 18 (eighteen) years. Age from 10 (ten) years - with written permission of parents.
